Business Description

Ekko Publications was created for the sole purpose of doing business by internet in the publication market. In order to provide the best possible service, we want to have all our "Ducks in a Row". We feel that getting up to speed gives you, the consumer, a better idea of our plans and hopefully a sense of security when trading with Ekko Publications.

We welcome any question of any kind at any time.

Privacy Policy

We use the services of PayPal for a number of reasons, however the most appealing  reason we have chosen PayPal is the knowledge that we will provide safe and secure transactions for our customers. PayPal is recognized throughout the world as a leader in preventing identity theft.

At no time do we store personal or payment information on our database. For that reason, we may need to contact you for payment information with regards to refunds and credits.

In the case of returns and shipping credits and fees, we may contact you to for information regarding payments and credits. Once the credit or payment is authorized, the payment information will be destroyed.

We have opted to allow the customer stay on our database for mailings, product news, as well as blog information and activity, however, again, no personal payment information is required to be held on file by Ekko Publications for those services and subscriptions.

At no time does Ekko Publications authorize the distribution, alteration, or sale of customer information with regards to e mail addresses and phone numbers.

Shipping Policy

Our shipping policies are rated and charged on the basis of weight, quantity, and delivery region. Al deliveries will be shipped standard. With advance notice, we will be happy to provide delivery for a specific delivery date.  

Calculating Shipping Costs

We charge a single flat fee for each shipment, plus additional, smaller fees for each item in that shipment. The total shipping charge will be displayed on the last page of the order form before you submit your order. Here is the equation we use to calculate the total shipping cost:
(Highest Applicable Per-Shipment Cost) + (All Per-Item Costs) = Total Shipping Fee

To define more clearly; if you choose standard shipping for an order that contains 2 Hard Copy Books, and a CD, you will be charged the higher Per-Shipment Cost for the Hard Copy Books and then charged the Per-Item Cost of each additional item, or in this example: the CD.
Example: $2.73 (1 each initial item) + .98 (additional item) = $3.71 total shipping cost. Note: Per-Item Costs for most products are a flat rate per unit(s) while other orders, depending on quantity, will be shipped at costs based on the combined product's total weight.
Overseas shipments may include additional fees which will be calculated at time of checkout. These fees and charges are one time fees and do not depend on the quantity of items purchase in a single order, and therefore will not be increased per each additional item ordered.


General Returns Policy

Physical  Product

You may return most new, unopened items sold by EKKO Publications within 15 days of delivery. There will be a standard 10% restocking fee that applies to all returns.
•    Any book that has obvious signs of usage and wear: May not be returned.
•    Any CD, DVD, VHS tape, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened (taken out of its plastic wrap): 50% of item's price.
•    Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error: up to 50% of item's price.

All return items should be returned in their original product packaging.

E Files / Return Policy

Unfortunately we have no return policy for items sold:
Via E File,
Downloadable software
Any other electronic method.

Given the nature of the sale, we expect the customer to understand this policy in advance of your purchase.

Should the product not be delivered complete,  we will request that you return the incomplete file. After a quick review for alterations, and should no alterations be found, a new file will be sent out immediately with our apologies.

Exchanges

If you received a faulty item and need to exchange it for the same item, please send us a request for replacement with a detailed reason for the exchange. Should the defect be clearly the responsibility of Ekko Publications, we will cover the cost of shipping for the replacement item being sent to you.
If you would like to exchange an item for a different one due to personal reasons, please contact us with a description of what you would prefer as opposed to what you recieved. Once we receive the item you wish to exchange, you will be refunded your original item(s) purchase price, and the replacement item will be shipped immediately.
You may also place an additional order for the item you want to replace and the order will be processed accordingly. In this situation, you will not have to wait for us to receive the original returned item before placing the new order. Should the item be returned to us within 14 days (postmarked) the 10% restocking fee will NOT be applied.   Should the item be returned after 14 days, you will be charged the 10% restocking fee and will see the charge appear as a separate transaction on your banking account.
Please note that it takes us 5 to 7 business days to process returns once they arrive.

Receiving a Refund

For items returned, expect your refund within 12 business days of shipping your package. (though in most cases you'll receive the refund sooner).
This time period includes:
•    5 to 10 business days for us to receive your return from the shipper
•    3 to 5 business days for us to process your return
•    The time it takes your bank to process our refund request (see below for specific guidelines)
We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
